1986 Cabriolet 3.6

This 1986 Cabriolet 3.6 has been dry stored for many years but has suffered from a lot of corrosion.

It's unusual in having a four seat conversion and being finished in Bordeaux red. Work to be done includes all rust repairs, full exterior respray, new engine and full KWE suspension/brakes/steering.

Engine ready to be stripped	Severe rust throughout the car. This cross member needs to be replaced!	LHF sill and wing badly corroded. Will need replacement.	Floor pan/chassis member rotted through


LHR valance rotted out	... RHR valance no better	With LHF wing off, sill is in even worse state.	Both wings too far gone for repair.


Front suspension assembly off. It's in poor state - which is what happens when a car is stored long term.	A bit different now.... New front suspension nearly complete	.. and back in car. We chose to put the body back on its wheels before its trip to the bodyshop	Rear suspension nearly finished


Good used doors and bonnet rough-fitted; LHF wing off - new ones still available	Not looking at its best...!	New RHR valance welded in	LHR corner welded repairs


... and new valance welded in	LH sill replaced	Bodywork and painting completed but for final machine polish. A bit different now.... Paint is Jaguar Bordeaux Red.	New doors, wings, sills and many other panels


Brand new 3.6 litre AJ6 engine block & head, re-stripped and rebuilt. Externals all reconditioned	Engine going back in	Underbody protection being applied after a high pressure hot wash and hand wire brushing	Car completed. Note new Jaguar 16 inch lattice wheels. Roof is good condition but has faded to white and awaits decision on its future...
